Checkout
Already have Pro? Pay just the $4 difference. Your Pro key keeps working until you activate the new Ultimate key.
Each promo code gives one Pro key, once.
We'll email every key bought with this address. For extra certainty, add the payment's transaction ID. Keys are only ever sent to the buyer's email, never shown here.
Bought before tiers (a NOTCH-XXXX key)? It still works and counts as Pro. Paste it in the app as before.
Your key
Activate in Notch Apple- Click "Activate in Notch Apple", or open Settings → License and paste the key.
- Press Unlock. It's checked on your Mac, offline.
- Works on up to 3 of your Macs. New Mac? Paste the same key.
Payments go straight to the developer's Litecoin wallet. No card details, no payment company. Terms and refunds
Questions
Is it really one payment?
Yes. Pro is $1 and Ultimate is $5, once. There are no subscriptions, renewals or expiry dates, and every future update is included, 2.0 and beyond.
Student discount?
Students can ask for a free Pro promo code: open a request (no proof needed, just be honest).
Can I pay more?
Yes, add a tip at checkout. It all goes to three high school developers, and it's hugely appreciated.
How does activation work?
Your key is signed by our license server. The app checks the signature on your Mac, offline, using a public key built into the app. When you activate, the app tells the server a one-way hash of your Mac (so a key works on up to 3 Macs); nothing else.
I have Pro. How do I upgrade?
Use the Upgrade tab: paste your Pro key and pay the $4 difference. You get a new Ultimate key; your Pro key keeps working until you replace it.
I lost my key
Use "Lost my key?" with the email you bought with. Keys are emailed only to that address.
Refunds?
Handled case by case: email notchapples.support@gmail.com with your transaction ID. A refunded key is turned off. See the terms.
I bought Pro before tiers existed
Your NOTCH-XXXX key or access code keeps working and counts as Pro. Donors and anyone who paid $2: ask for your free Ultimate key.
Does the app have ads or tracking?
No, in every tier. Not in the app, and not on this website.
